Flandreau Hot Dog Day made its way back downtown this year. The event was held in front of the park on Main Street. It was a warm one with temperature topping out at 83 degrees. Luckily a small breeze and canopies set up by the event planners provided some shade and comfort for patrons.
Moody County Boys & Girls club pulled a large crowd with root beer floats and cute kids handing them out. The Boys & Girls club is selling raffle tickets for their annual shed raffle to take place at the end of this month on June 29th. Another hot commodity was the Flandreau Hot Dog Day stickers handed out by Gone2Pieces.
Many rummage sales not listed in the Enterprise sprung up throughout town. With most of them being set up on Saturday as well. There wasn’t a street in town that you couldn’t find one on.
All in all it was a successful event that drew many out to see what was going on in town. Make sure to mark your calendars for July 1st when Flandreau Friday will take place downtown.
