Booster Club looking for alumni to help with meal
The Flier Booster Club will be serving burgers at the Flier homecoming football game on Sept. 22.
They are asking any alumni who may be interested in assisting with serving or providing bars for this meal to please contact Michelle Iott at 864-1781 or Lori Williams at 864-1810.
Flier Football Breakfast Friday
A Flandreau Flier Football breakfast will be held this Friday morning, September 22, at the Flandreau Fire Hall beginning at 7 a.m.
Everyone is welcome! A free-will donation is appreciated.
Genealogical Society to meet September 21
The Moody County Genealogical Society meets every third Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Moody County Museum except in November and December.
This month is a special feature on oral history. Look for more information on page 5 of this week’s Enterprise.
Register of Deeds retirement open house, September 27
As a way to show appreciation for more than 36 years with Moody County, there will be an open house held for current Register of Deeds Gail Meyer-Deelstra in the Farmer’s Room of the courthouse on Wednesday, September 27, from 2-4 p.m.
Meyer-Deelstra’s first day at the county was on February 2, 1981, and her last day will be September 29, 2017.
Coffee and cake will be served. All are welcome to attend and thank her for her service.
Volunteers and pick-ups needed for Freedom Hunt
The annual Freedom Hunt will be held at Sioux River Wildlife located at the Tad and Kathy Jacobs farm on September 30.
A large turnout of hunters is expected so there will be a need for more volunteers to help. Especially, there’s a need for pickups for the hunters to ride in.
If you have a pickup and can be available on September 30 between 8:30 a.m. to mid-afternoon, please come the Jacobs farm by 9 a.m. A free lunch and refreshments will be provided for all who volunteer.
