Another weather system worked its way across the area over the weekend. The snow path was predicted to be more east of here with rain forecast for this area. The temperature prediction and the predicted snow path were off by many miles. Flandreau officially received 7.2 inches of snow with a hefty water equivalent of 1.55 inches. Monday continued the moist pattern, the “normal” highs for the last week of March are in the 45° range.
Althought the snow is welcomed with its much needed moisture to jump start the fields and lawns this spring, the cooler than normal spring weather and the almost daily gray skies are what most people are tired of this time of year.
