The 72nd annual session of the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Girls State session will take place on the campus of USD May 28-June 2nd.   This program gives young women who have completed their junior year of high school an opportunity to experience activities teaching a deeper understanding our of democratic form of government.  Through a “hands on” approach, the delegates learn the duties, rights, and responsibilities of US citizenship.
