Planes filled the skies above Flandreau before the South Dakota wind picked up for the Flandreau Fly-in held on Sunday, July 9. There were roughly 20 planes that attended at the Flandreau Municipal Airport.
City council member and one of the event organizers Brad Bjerke said with the forecast of strong winds some of the smaller planes and different types were not able to attend but the event was still well attended.
The Boys and Girls Club of Moody County held a breakfast for those in attendance.
