Win over Mitchell Christian, OR/R in big fashion

Colman-Egan picked up two big wins on the court dominating over Mitchell Christian, 79-36 and then Oldham-Ramona/Rutland, 81-31.

MITCHELL – The Hawk boys’ basketball team traveled to Mitchell to take on the Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles on Tuesday, January 7 and came home with a resounding win, 79-36.
The offense was led by Jase Mousel’s 23 points and nine rebounds. Adding in 15 points was Jackson Zwart while he brought down seven missed boards. Jack Mousel had a double-double swiping down 13 rebounds and scoring 12 points.
Taylor Kreich added in another 11 points for the fourth Hawk in double digit scoring.

The Hawks jumped out to a 16-3 first quarter lead and dumped in 22 second quarter points while holding the hosts to 14 to put the half time score at 38-17. They matched the third quarter scoring at 22 and put in another 19 counters in the final frame. The Golden Eagles scored 18 in the third while oly getting a lone free throw in the fourth.

COLMAN – Just three days later, the boys won big over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland, 81-31.
The Hawks stormed out to a 29-9 first quarter led and ran it up to 53-23 at the half. After the majority of the damage was done to ORR, the Hawks won the third quarter 16-2 and the fourth 12-6.
Again, four players found the net for double digit scoring. Jase Mousel led all players with 26 points, Taylor Kreich and Jackson Zwart both put in 15 and Caden Zwart added 13 counters.

Jase Mousel and Caden Zwart brought down nine and eight rebounds respectively and Jackson Zwart had five steals on defense.
This week the Hawks, now 3-3, were to be at Emery on Monday to face Bridgewater-Emery, host Garretson on Friday and then host the Border Bash on Saturday taking on Minnesota’s Hills-Beaver Creek. Next Tuesday, they host McCook Central/Montrose.
