Veterans invited to attend an informational meeting Thursday, June 29

Posted

All Moody County Veterans who have served any time since and including Vietnam are invited to attend a discussion on recently passed legislation.
The discussion will be held on Thursday, June 29 at 7 p.m. at the Moody County Veterans Center according to Kelley-Porter Post 70 Legion Commander Bart Sample.
Courtney Steffen, who is the Brookings County Veterans Service Officer and American Legion Post Commander in Chester, will be in attendance.

She will lead the discussion of the PACT Act. This is the most significant legislation passed by the US Congress in a generation and directly impacts all veterans, who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States since the Vietnam War, and their families.
Steffen will be available to answer any and all questions who may have about how the PACT Act directly impacts veterans and their families.
The Moody County Veterans service organizations exist to take care of veterans and provide them with all information about legislation that directly impacts the veteran community.
A person does not need to be a member of a veteran service organization to attend this meeting.
The meeting is hosted by the Kelley-Porter Post 70 of the American Legion, the Moody Post 3351 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Gordon Weston Post.
