Take two baseball losses

After dropping two games last week, the Colman-Egan/Flandreau baseball team’s season record fell to 4-7.
They lost to Tri-Valley, 9-5 and were shut out by Region 3B top ranked Dell Rapids, 13-0.
Tri-Valley
FLANDREAU – Micah Otto batted out a triple and two singles, Emmett Skroch and Tyton Peters both had a pair of one-base hits. The Fliers had eight team hits and eight walks, but also struck out eight times.

The game was scoreless until the Mustangs scored five runs in the fourth inning, one in the sixth and three in the top of the seventh. CE/F had four in the bottom of the fifth but could only add one run in the bottom of the seventh to close out the game.
Xavier Bien pitched for the Fliers in the first four innings. He gave up five runs and four hits while striking out eight.
Tate Hammer was his relief. He allowed four runs on three hits.
Dell Rapids
DELL RAPIDS – Dell Rapids raised its season record to 15-1 by blanking the Fliers, 13-0.
The Fliers could only get four team hits, all singles, by Jadon Eng, Mason Wright, Micah Otto and Emmett Skroch.
Cam Flute was the starting Flier pitcher going three innings. He all seven runs on five hits. Skroch came in relief giving up six runs on three hits.
The Fliers had four errors in the game.
