This year’s crops, given an opportunity for early planting and all of the rain Mother Nature has sent our way, are largely considered in fair, good, or excellent condition by the USDA, especially where corn is concerned. Adding to the case that it will likely be a successful year for area farmers, Cameron Brovold, Addie Gropel, and Kendall Brovold, visiting Moody County from Mankato, MN, this past week for Fourth of July fun, showcased that area corn is well above the ‘knee-high by the Fourth of July’ mark for the 2024 growing season. The family, in town to visit family and friends, enjoys all of the fun a 4th of July in Moody County has to offer.
