Also catching headlines at a local regional tournament were Flandreau’s Lily Klein, Lizzie Pavlis and Sadie Iott. (see attached photo).
The three played with their Sioux-Falls based Sacred Hoops team at the NCAA CERTIFIED, 2023 Meltdown AAU National Championship Event in Minneapolis. The girls team took the tournament in their age bracket, winning each of their five respective games. The tournament was held July 20-July 22 and brought outmany of the nation’s top Club, Travel & AAU programs. The tournament is designed to give up-and-coming talent a highly visible stage for college coaches, scouts and spectators.
