Linda Marie Kilber, age 80, of Flandreau, SD, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Avantara Nursing Home, Lake Norden, SD. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 with a visitation one-hour prior beginning at noon at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau, SD.
Linda Marie (Blanchard) Kilber was born on August 26, 1944 in Flandreau to Lovell and Myrtle Blanchard. Linda grew up in Flandreau and received her education in the Flandreau Public School.
She married Edwin Kilber on May 17, 1961. Three children were born into this union. Pam of Volga, SD, Bobby (Elaine) of Colman, SD, and Corey (deceased). All three attended and graduated from Egan High School.
Linda ran a small daycare in her home in Egan. She loved to craft and was an avid precious moments collector. Edwin passed away in January of 2017. Linda sold their home and moved to an apartment in Flandreau.
She most recently was a resident at Avantara Nursing Home in Lake Nordan, SD, where she passed away at 80 years old.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lovell and Myrtle; husband, Edwin; son, Corey; sister, Phyllis; brother, Robert (Doc) Blanchard; sister-in-law, Jean; step-grandson, Patrick; and other distant family members.
Linda is survived by one daughter Pam, one son Bobby, two stepsons, Allen and Darby and one stepdaughter, Sandy; eight grandchildren: Eva, Tiffany (Ernie), Justin (Danielle), Zachary, Lindsay, Riley, Ty, and Jocelyn; 11 great-grandchildren: Landon, Raihanna and Tripp Hartley, Alison, Jade, and BentLee Thompson, Thor, Kooper, Gracie and Lucille Kahler, and Haylee Pate.
Burial will be immediately following the service at the Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Linda will be laid to rest next to Edwin and Phyllis.
