Flandreau 64, DeSmet 41
The Fliers held the Bulldogs to 31 percent field goal shooting while firing in 53 percent.
"We had a season-high in assists (19), and a big reason for that is that we finished well around the rim," said Head Coach Megan Severtson.
"Our defense made things difficult for DeSmet in the second half and we were able to extend our lead in the third quarter."
Topping the Flier scoring was Sadie Iott with 16 points and Morgan Sheppard put in 15.

Hannah Krull and Sheppard both pulled down nine rebounds. and gave out seven and five assists respectively. Sheppard also made four steals and had two blocks.
Hazel Luethmers scored 17 for the Bulldogs.
Flandreau led at all quarter stops, 12-8, 30-26, 49-32.
Flandreau won the JV contest as well by a score of 35-27. Rona Streitz scored 12 points and Aly Schepel added eight.
"As we gear up for our last week of regular season, the girls look more comfortable, and you can see our progress," Severtson added.

DeSmet 46, Flandreau 45
Six foot nine inch Bulldog Gavin Wilkinson scored the first eight points of the game and the Flier boys couldn’t regroup enough taking a one-point loss, 46-45.
DeSmet led after one period 13-8 and 25-20 at the half. Flandreau cut the deficit to four after three quarters, 42-38. Neither team was hot from the field in the final quarter as the Bulldogs score seven and the Fliers, four. A late game Flier shot to get the win, failed.
"We made a nice run in the second half to get ourselves back in the game,” said Coach Sheppard.

“We did a pretty solid job of guarding the Wilkinson post. However, we did a poor job of executing on our final possession with the ball.”

Alfie Henderson made four of eight 3-point shots to spearhead the Fliers in scoring. Micah Otto made 11 points and Kody Kneebone put in 10 counters. They both had six rebounds.
