The Colman-Egan Hawks punched their ticket to the Class B SoDak 16 by picking up a sweep over Bridgewater-Emery in the Region 3B tournament on Thursday night.
The Hawks are 22-5 on the season and were the No. 8 seed in the SoDak 16 held Tuesday evening at Chamberlain. Colman-Egan faced No. 9 Edgemont for a spot in the Class B State Tournament. Results in next week’s Moody County Enterprise. Region finals
SALEM – Thursday, November 7, the Hawks defeated B-E in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-13.
Brynlee Landis led the Hawks with 15 kills, six digs and a block. She also had three aces.
Finley Luze had six kills, six assists and eight total blocks.
Michoen Williamson and Anna Zwart each had six total blocks.
Presley Luze had 13 digs and an ace.
Kaylee Voelker had 25 assists, six digs, two total blocks and an ace.
Elaina Rhode had seven kills and an ace.
Addison Geigle had eight digs.
1st round Region 3B
COLMAN — Before the Region finals, it was smooth sailing for the Hawks on November 5 as they moved onto the semifinals. C-E won the three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-16.
Brynlee Landis led the Hawks with 16 kills and five digs. Kaylee Voelker had 13 assists, five kills and eight digs. Finley Luze had nine assists and five kills and Elaina Rhode had five digs.
As a team, five players each recorded an ace and the Hawks had 14 blocks.
The Blackhawks were led by Addi Bartholow who had 14 digs and four kills. Kaylie Robinson had nine digs and five kills. Liz Boschee had six kills and Kenzie Schley and Kali Hofer each had nine assists.
