Construction on the much-anticipated $4.1 million Colman-Egan school addition is moving swiftly, with six new classrooms and a flexible learning space quickly coming together.
Crews, ahead of schedule, completed the exterior before winter. It’s allowed work to continue comfortably indoors.
The expansion will likely be a new home for Hawks’ 3rd-5th graders, it extends along the west side of the school and will include new restrooms, staff workspaces, and a weight room open to the public during select hours.
School officials anticipate an earlier than expected completion date, given how quickly the new addition is taking shape. Students are expected to begin the fall semester in their new classrooms but it will otherwise be open for any traditional summer activities.
