Weeks after the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new fire station in Flandreau, workers with Claflin Excavating officially started the dirt work in downtown Flandreau on Monday morning. Crews will be preparing the site as final plans are being made to begin construction on the building itself. On the corner of the lot there is a rendering of what the new facility will look like when it is complete in 2025.  The station will be located at the southeast corner of Wind Street and Third Avenue.
