HARRISBURG – The Flandreau boys’ golf team came in eighth place at the Charger Golf Invite at Spring Creek Golf Course on Tuesday, August 29.
Vermillion won the team even with a score of 24 over par.
Kaden Burshiem was the top golfer for Flandreau and he tied for 12th with a score of 79, seven over par. Alfie Henderson also tied for 22nd (+11) and Jon Burshiem tied for 30th (+12). Luke Sheppard tied for 63rd (+24) and Brant LeBrun tied for 69th (+25).
“It was good to get back out to an actual meet,” said Head Coach Justin Kelm. “Our last meet was almost two weeks ago. The boys competed well, and I am seeing some growth in our younger, inexperienced golfers. Kaden continues to play well and earned a medal placing 12th.”
There were 15 teams at the meet.
