Baltic Invitational
BALTIC – The Colman-Egan girls track team scored 141 points to win the Baltic Meet, Tuesday, May 6 but the boys were edged for the title by host Baltic, 146-141.5.
Boys took the gold in eight events and the girls won five.
Jolie Flatten dipped below the minute mark again in the 400 meter dash to win that race and was part of two winning relays teams – the 4x100 and 4x200. Also winning the gold was Anya Hemmer in the 300 hurdles and Quinn Meyer matched her season best in the high jump.
Enroute to their win, the foursome of Hayden Pearson, Jack Mousel, Chris Lee and Jase Mousel, lowered their already top performance time in the 4x100 meter relay dropping it to 43.41.
Jackson Zwart and Jack Mousel both were a part of four wins.
Zwart won both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, the triple jump and was the third leg of the winning 4x200 meter relay.
Mousel took the the 200 meter win, won the high jump and was a part of two winning relays, the 4x100 and 4x200
Other wins for the boys were in the sprint races. Chris Lee won the 100 and Jase Mousel, the 400.

Dan Barker Relays at Madison
MADISON – The seasons are beginning to wind down for the track and field athletes. The Hawks were at Dell Rapids on Monday, have a meet at Deubrook Area on Thursday and then the Dakota Valley Conference meet to close out the regular season will be May 22.
Last Friday, the Hawks participated in the Dan Barker Relays in Madison held at the Dakota State University Track. The meet include Class AA, A and B schools. The girls took third and the boys came in fourth.
There were three golds for the girls and four from the boys team.
The girls 4x200 meter relay team of Avery Baumberger, Finley Luze, Brynlee Landis and Crystal Silva-Dominguez won in a time of 1:47.36.
Individually, Silva Dominguez won the 200 (26.63) and Flatten took the 400 (60.33).
