The committee for the Egan All-School Reunion has been busy getting plans set for the big event to take place June 27-28-29. Letters of invitation were sent out last week and if you didn’t get one as an Egan graduate but should have, contact one of the committee members: Tom Hagedorn, Diane (Chamley) Olson, Janice (Schroeder) Wussow or Rich Jorgensen. The group has a Facebook page (2025 Egan South Dakota All School Reunion).
Events planned include a live band Friday evening at BlueJays. Then on Saturday, a parade begins at 10 am. To be involved in the parade contact Bonnie Hemmer (605-530-2184) or Tom Ehrichs (605-864-8678). Other events include a car show, kayak/canoe races on the Big Sioux River, duck races at the city park, a vendor fair, and riding the Blue Jay Express around town. Live music will again be at Egan BlueJays Bar that evening.
Sunday is banquet time. The meal will be served at the Colman-Egan High School from 12-1 pm. Advance tickets are required and are $25. Reunion T-shirts are also available to pre-purchase. The date to return your form with payment is May 15.
