The Gary Hemmer Scholarship Classic will be held Saturday, August 24 at Sunrise Ridge in Colman. Registration for the golf tournament will begin at 1:00 p.m. with golfing to begin at 2:00. Call 605-534-3121 to sign up for golf or bean bags. The cost for the golf tournament is $50 per person and includes 9 holes of golf, cart, shirt, meal and mulligan. Bean bag tournament begins at 2:30 with registration beginning at 2:00 p.m. The cost is $60 per team and includes bean bags, shirt, and meal. There will also be a silent auction in conjunction with the golf and bean bag tournaments. Pin prizes will be awarded for each of the nine holes. Proceeds from the event will be awarded in scholarships to Colman-Egan High School graduates.
The 2024 Gary Hemmer Scholarships were awarded to Emma Brewer, Jonathon Keyes, Lanie Mousel, Jenna Olson, Karson Quale, Paisley Rentschler, Brayden Wiese, and Karissa Williams.
