Workers install memorial panels on the new outdoor Veterans Memorial at the Flandreau Santee Sioux Care Center complex. The complex in and of itself is brand new, having held its grand opening ceremony just two weeks ago. The memorial will be open to all and highlight the names of those that have defended the tribe dating as far back as 1892. The memorial includes a circle of 5-foot tall walls and will feature a gas fireplace at the center.
