Flandreau’s softball team closed out their season in SoDak 16 play as 10 errors and sixth seeded Gayville-Volin stopped them from further play on Tuesday, May 27.
Down 4-5 in the middle of the sixth, the Raiders pounded out 11 runs to cause the Fliers’ demise and found Flandreau settling for a 13-10 season record. T
Final score was 16-4.

There were a couple of highlights though. Senior Jacey Sundermeyer ended her high school career batting 3-for-3 and pitcher Olivia Peters three her 200th career strike out.
Sundermeyer swatted out two doubles and a one base hit in the game along with an RBI. Nora Hamilton also had a triple.
Peters pitched five and one-third innings allowing 11 runs and eight hits.
Aly Schepel came in for the final out.
Seniors completing their high school career for Coach Ryan Mallinger are Sadie Iott, Olivia Peters, Diamond Roy, Hailieanne Schepel and Jacey Sundermeyer.
