Schools in Moody County are not back in session but the sports teams began practices last week in anticipation of the upcoming seasons.
Both the Colman-Egan football team and Flandreau will take the field for the first time this week. The Hawks will have a home game where they will take on the Elks of Elkton/Lake Benton. Kick off will be at 7pm.
Flandreau will head to Salem to battle the Cougars of McCook Central/Montrose. The game will be live streamed on www.cougars.liveticket.tv/ with kick off starting at 7pm.
Flier volleyball will take to the net on Tuesday, August 22 at home to take on the Flyers of Chester. Action will take place beginning at 5pm.

Colman-Egan’s volleyball team will kick off their season on Thursday, August 24 against Baltic at home.
The Cross Country teams will also be in action with the Fliers heading to White for the Deubrook Area Invite on Saturday and then both the Hawks and Fliers will be in Salem for the McCook Central/Montrose Invite on August 29.
The Flier boys’ fall golf team was already on the course with the first meet held Monday in Volga. They will then go to Milbank on Thursday.
Look for full preview of the area sports teams in next weeks edition of the Moody County Enterprise.
