Darrold Dean Hay, age 82 years old, passed away surrounded by his close family on May 25, 2025 at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD.
Darrold Dean Hay was born on June 16, 1942. His parents were Howard and Frances Hay of Sioux Falls, SD and Darrold lived in Sioux Fall all his life.
Darrold is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Glynda. Darrold married Glynda Holter on September 3, 1963 in Platte, SD. They had four children: Darrin (Brenda) Hay, Tamara (Marc) Garavalia, David Hay and Jeffrey Hay and two grandchildren Dalton Hay and John Garavalia. He was predeceased by his parents and sister.
Darrold was a hard worker and enjoyed working at Nordica and later at StarMark retiring to enjoy some years with his wife and family. Darrold loved his Packers wearing the team colors proudly. He loved his music, including Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, etc. Darrold was most happy when his family was at his house enjoying the chatter.
A funeral service was held at 11:00AM, May 30, 2025 at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau, SD.
