The difference could be upwards of a million dollars, no one is sure just yet.
City Administrator Cohl Turnquist this past week during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Flandreau City Council, shared that the Project Architect has revised its internal cost estimate on the new fire station, the one that has now been discussed and in the works the better part of the past several years, and its cost has gone from a potential $2.9 million to $3.9 million.
Despite the increased amount, First Savings Bank is still offering the city a 3-year fixed rate at 3.77% or a 4.49% 5-year fixed rate, both adjustable every 5 years thereafter, for the amount on any loan. Council approved the terms this past week but did not commit yet to a loan.
