Moody County Commissioners met briefly this past week to wrap up a few outstanding items of business left over from 2022 and take care of only a few new matters of business — among the more notable matters to be taken care of was the swearing in of three Commissioners. After being off of the Commission for one full term, Jerry Doyle returned to represent his district, Dan Miles was re-elected for a consecutive term in his district, and Dave Reker was sworn in as the newest member to the Commission. Reker, of Trent, feels his background as a career accountant will be helpful to the county and the Commission, especially in regard to problems related to inflation and the county’s budget in the coming years.
Carla Bruning was re-elected to the Chair position and Dan Miles is Vice-Chair for the 2023 year.
