CE/F Baseball team picks up three wins last week

Colman-Egan/Flandreau won three straight games last week raising their season record to 4-5.
Garretson
GARRETSON – The locals tied the game at 3 in the third inning, added the go ahead run in the fifth and took a 4-3 win over Garretson on Wednesday April 30.
Xavier Bien was the winning pitcher throwing six innings. He fanned 12 and walked five Blue Dragons batters, and allowed three runs on three hits. Micah Otto came in an inning and allowed one hit.
The Flier earned seven team hits with Otto and Bien showing off on offense as well. Otto had a triple and Bien a double and drove in three RBI. They both had singles as well and as did Tate Hammer, Tucker Hemmer and Tyton Peters.
Clark
SIOUX FALLS – The Fliers picked up another win over the week playing Clark/Willow Lake in Sioux Falls on Saturday and coming from behind with a 10 run sixth inning to do so.

The Fliers won 13-6.
C/WL took the lead early scoring twice in the first and once in the second before Flandreau got on the board in the top of the third. The Cougars answered with two more third inning runs before.
Flandreau scored again in the top of the fifth. The starter was relieved at the beginning of the sixth when the Fliers had their scoring run.
C/WL and Flandreau both added another run to close out the game.
Starting on the hump for the Fliers was Cameron Flute giving up five runs off seven hits while striking out four. Earning the win in relief was Tyton Peters who allowed only three hits and one run in four innings of work.
Getting the Flier hits were Xavier Bien with a double and a pair of singles scoring three RBI and Jadon Eng with a double scoring two. Also batting out a double was Micah Otto.
Earning singles were Tucker Hemmer, Tate Hammer, Peters, Otto and Emmett Skroch.
The Fliers collected 10 team hits.
Canton
CANTON – Flandreau collected 15 hits – all singles - while holding the C-Hawks to four in a 14-2 five inning win.
The Fliers scored four in the second inning, added six in the third and three in fourth to jump out to a 13-0 lead before the C-Hawks scored a lone run in the bottom of the fourth.
Micah Otto pitched the win for Flandreau. He struck out six batters and walked one.
For Flandreau, Tate Hammer led with three hits in four at-bats. Alex Poitra, Jake Hamilton, Emmett Skroch and Kody Kneebone, all were 2-for-3 a the plate.
