CLEAR LAKE – Using strength in numbers, the Flier wrestling team won all three duals on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in the Deuel gym.
Flandreau defeated Hamlin/Castlewood, 57-12, Howard 60-23 and Deuel/Deubrook Area, 41-33.
Having a near full roster, the Fliers won nine forfeits over H/C, seven over Howard and four over D/D.
Six Fliers recorded three wins at the quadrangular.
Teague Bergjord picked up two forfeits and then hit a major highlight in his career by recording his 100th career win using a 15-0 tech fall over D/D’s Erich Fokken. All his matches were in the 120 pound class.

“On the night, another milestone was hit with Teague getting his 100th win,” said Coach Cody Chamblin.
“He’s been putting in the time and showing improvements each match.”
Zach Pederson, 132 lbs., pinned Drew Maier of Howard in 37 seconds, pinned Tyson Hagberg of D/D in 2:48 and won over H/C by forfeit.
At 165 pounds, Hayden Pearson pinned Kreyton Karstens of Howard in 32 seconds and picked up two wins by forfeit.
Karter Headrick, wrestling at 215 pounds, pinned Gabriel Martian of Howard in 3:11 and received two forfeit wins.
Wrestling at heavyweight, Tyton Peters won a forfeit against H/C, and earned two more wins by fall. He pinned Thomas Halverson of Howard in 42 seconds and Tytian Lauseng of D/D in 1:53.
Also recording three wins were Ryker Headrick, all by forfeit with two coming at 106 and one in the 113 pound class.
Dalin Billmeier decisioned H/C’s Dante DeGeest, 12-7.
