The Jackrabbits drew the No. 15 seed in the east region on Sunday and will be going up against former SDSU head coach T.J. Otzelberger and the Iowa State Cyclones on Thursday at 6:35 p.m.

The Flandreau Fliers were upset in the quarterfinals of the State Class A State Girls Basketball Tournament, falling to the sixth-seeded Tea Area Titans 52-47 at the Dacotah Bank Center on Thursday night.

The Wall Eagles denied the Colman-Egan Hawks the chance to play in the SDHSAA Class B Girls State Tournament with a 75-44 win over the local girls.

The Flandreau Fliers boys’ basketball team won the first game of Region 2A but couldn’t get past Sioux Valley and closed their season last week in Region 2A play. The Fliers finished the season with a record of 14-8.
