Work Bee to be held May 3, at VFW Post; will also celebrate Loyalty Day

VFW Post 3351 will be hosting a work-bee before their next regular meeting on May 3. Start time will be 4 pm at The Veterans' Center on the 100 block of West Second Avenue in Flandreau.

Anyone and everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and help.

Volunteers will be inventorying the flags that are displayed at Union Cemetery and on the Moody County courthouse grounds on Memorial Day. Those that may need repair or those that will need to be replaced will be identified.

Commander Bridget Flannery encourages veterans, or friends and family members of veterans to come to the work-bee.

“After a couple of hours of hard - but fun - work, we're hosting a potluck in observance of Loyalty Day, in conjunction with our Auxiliary,” said Flannery.

Regular meetings will follow the potluck, tentatively starting about 7:30 pm.
