Woes at net continue


FLANDREAU – Deubrook Area edged Flandreau 21-25, 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 16-14 in a nonconference volleyball match Tuesday.
For the Fliers, Bella Pavlis recorded 11 kills and Maria Parsley finished with four.
Macy Kneebone dished out 17 set assists. Claire Sheppard had eight blocks and 17 digs. Kennedy Peper tallied 13 digs and four aces. Pavlis added four blocks.
‘Dre Vandermeer had 12 kills, Baylee Holmlund 11 and Brooke Koppatschek seven for Deubrook Area.
Ellie Koenig (20) and Koppatschek (17) combined for 37 set assists.
Miranda Moravetz paced the defense with 21 digs, as Emma Vandermeer chipped in with 20 and ‘Dre Vandermeer 16. Holmlund had four blocks and Koppatschek, Emma Vandermeer and ‘Dre Vandermeer all tallied three.
At last weekend’s Big East Conference tourney, the Fliers lost all game and fell to eighth place.
