Wilma M. Duncan, age 83, of Flandreau, SD, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Wilma Marie was born in Brookings, SD on May 4, 1937 to Clarence and Alma Stein. She grew up in both Brookings and Moody counties, attending Dexter Country School and graduating from Flandreau High School in 1955. On September 23, 1956, Wilma was married to Deral Duncan at Flandreau, SD. They made their home in the Flandreau area where Wilma worked at Gambles and Eaton Dakota and provided daycare to local families. She retired from work in 1991. Wilma was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, and the Flandreau Fireman Auxiliary. Wilma bowled and played softball until age 40. 

Wilma is survived by her husband: Deral, Flandreau; four children: David (Christine) Duncan, Wentworth; Dean (Kathy Else) Duncan, Rapid City; Linda (Steve) Dietrich, Sioux Falls and Lori (Bill) Sutton, Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five sisters: Norma Smith, Flandreau; Lillian (Richard) Relf, Egan; LaVonne (Tom) Kansanback, Colman; Marsha (Terry) Weinacht, Dell Rapids; and Marlys (Jim) Hinricher, Flandreau; and three sisters-in-law: Margaret Stein, Flandreau; Janet Stein, Elkton; and Darlene (Mike) Dressen, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Robert Stein.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26 from 5-7 pm. Private family funeral services will be held with a live stream available to the public via the Zoom App with the link below starting at 9:50 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2020
