Put the new Flandreau Flier Booster Club Falls Sports Rally on your calendar for next Tuesday, August 16.
It will be a night of food, games, fun and gathering just before the fall sporting events begin.
It all happens at the Moody County Fairgrounds just west of the Flier Booster Club Stadium from 6 to 8 p.m. that night beginning with the membership drive meal. For a $30 family membership, the entire family can eat that evening. Single memberships are available for $15 which also includes the meal. Each membership will receive a decal and folks have the opportunity to purchase a yard sign to show their school spirit and support along with some raffle prizes.
And the Kids’ Zone games begin. High school athletes will man stations with games for the younger children to enjoy.
The dunk tank also begins at 6 p.m. Nominees as of Monday morning at 10 a.m. are Josh Edlund, Pedro Johnson, Blake Savey, Josh Cleveland, Darren Hamilton, Marc Burggraff, Megan Severtson and Dave Feske. These people have until midnight Friday, August 12 to pay $100 “to get out of it” and nominate someone else.

Each will take a 15 minute turn in the tank over the two hour event.

The fall coaching staff will speak around 7 p.m. and there will also be raffles going on throughout the night.
The Booster Club has created a “remind app” for your phone. This app will send out reminders of important club news.

There is generic Flier gear and there will be season specific gear to order for your favorite sporting season. Fall sports gear available now includes football and volleyball, with cross country and golf apparel choices coming soon. Information about how to order from the store will also be available at the event.
Proceeds from the night are used to support all Flandreau sporting programs. Examples include film sharing services for scouting, high school team camp costs, and youth team jerseys and tournament entries.
