River’s Edge Cooperative is collecting donations of personal care items for people who stay at the Wholeness Center.
The business has Flandreau Fliers bags at its store and a donation box at Dollar General, which can be filled with toiletries during the all-school reunion and 150th celebration.

Items needed include laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap or body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, bath tissue, lotion, combs and brushes, facial tissue, disposable razors, shaving cream, fingernail clippers and towels and washcloths. The products can be any sizes. In addition, gas cards, disposable phones and phone minutes can be donated.
River’s Edge encourages classes to get involved and fill a bag. Collections will be accepted through July 10.
The Wholeness Center in Flandreau is a place where women victims of domestic violence can take shelter.
As an incentive to donate, River’s Edge has a coupon in each registration packet for the all-school reunion for a free Coke product and a bag of popcorn with a $10 gas purchase. By signing the back of the coupon, customers are registered for a chance to win two $100 gift cards to be give away July 8.
