Thomas P. Reynolds

Thomas Phillip Reynolds, age 61, of Pekin, IL, formerly of Flandreau, SD, passed away April 20, 2018 at Unity Point Health Pekin Emergency Room.

Thomas Phillip was born October 29, 1956 in Flandreau, SD to Stanley and Shirley Reynolds.

Tom graduated from Flandreau High School and joined the Army in 1975 and was on active duty for five years.  He Served in the Army National Guard for 13 years, where he served in Operation Desert Storm.

He worked as a carpenter for his father at Reynolds Construction for 15 years, worked at a Blackjack Dealer at Royal River Casino for seven years, and held numerous carpenter jobs including ServPro, D. Riff Construction, Morton Buildings, and Construx of Illinois.

Tom enjoyed woodworking, working on vehicles and machinery.  He was a great carpenter and took pride in his work.  He enjoyed watching Nascar, old westerns movies, and the Green Bay Packers, and spending his summers fishing, canoeing, and kayaking on the river. Tom loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are four sons: Shawn Reynolds, Jesse (Rose) Reynolds, Keith Reynolds, and Jason Reynolds; two grandchildren: Dylan Reynolds and Paige Reynolds; his parents: Stan and Shirley; three sisters: Kimberly (Mike) Anderson, Brenda Grafing and Betty (Brian) Anderson; seven nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Georgi Behrends.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be at 2:30 pm May 6, 2018 at United Methodist Church in Flandreau.  www.davisoswaldfh.com.
