State High School Rodeo Finals; Rice moves onto Nationals

High School Rodeo

Seven cowboys and cowgirls from Flandreau High School made it to the state finals with Dylan Rice the lone area cowboy to advance to the National High School Finals Rodeo. He will participate in Bull Riding.

Qualifying for state were:

Brock Belkham in Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping

Brooke Iott in Pole Bending, Break away roping and Goat Tying

Blake Kontz in Calf Roping and Team Roping

Madison Kontz in Team Roping

Kole Latham in Calf Roping and Team Roping

Dylan Rice in Bull Riding 

Jaycie Pulscher in Team Roping

Brock, Kole and Dylan all made it to the Finals Short Go

Participants need to qualify in the top 4 of the event to advance  to the State Finals in August.
