Scott Taylor Anderson, age 35, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home in Flandreau, SD.
Scott was born August 29, 1983 at home in Flandreau, SD. He received his education at Flandreau Public School. Scott worked at the tribal gym, was a cashier at the Tribal Mart and then worked at Royal River Casino as a cook and in security. Scott was a member of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe. He enjoyed drawing and was a passionate artist, winning art awards in high school. Scott had a passion for music, playing guitar, lifting weights, cooking and was an avid Vikings fan.
Scott is survived by his mother: Sheryl Weston; his father: Scott (Brooki Corcoran) Anderson, all of Flandreau; two daughters: Julieaunna Anderson and Scarlet Anderson, Flandreau; four siblings: Kenneth (Cynthia Johanson) Weston, Flandreau; Renae (Daniel) VanHofwegen, Minneapolis; Travis Anderson, Flandreau; Derek Anderson, Flandreau; Alyssa Anderson, LaCrosse, WI; his grandmother: Betty Taylor, Flandreau; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Vera Weston and his beloved dog Logan.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September, 7, 2018 at Wicoicaga Otipi Community Center, Flandreau, SD. A two day all night wake will begin 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 with a 7:00 p.m. service both nights at the community center. Burial will be in First Presbyterian Cemetery, Flandreau. A spirit fire will be held at Grandpa Elmer Weston’s residence. www.skrochfc.com
