Royal River Casino’s Rodeo Days this weekend

The Lazy 3S Rodeo Company, owned by Jim and Shelli Langdeau from Fort Pierre, installed the arena for the upcoming Flandreau Rodeo Days on Friday and Saturday. Workers installing the end run area on May 31 for the timed events arena are Ty Kenobbie, Kole Latham, Rob Arnold and Jim Langdeau. The two rodeos are expected to attract hundreds of participants and spectators.

This year’s Flandreau Rodeo Days will have more vendors, activities for kids, a clown and two days of rodeos.
The rodeo, in its second year, is June 7 and 8 across from the Royal River Casino. At the end of last season, Flandreau Rodeo Days was voted by contestants as the best new rodeo for 2018. The rodeo is sanctioned with the South Dakota Rodeo Association, Minnesota Rodeo Association and High Plains Junior Rodeo Association.
The new children’s activity area will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and slack will begin at 11 a.m. The grand entry is at 6 each evening with the rodeo starting at 6:30 p.m.
Admission to the rodeo is $10 in advance by purchasing tickets at the casino gift shop or online. Admission is $15 at the date. Kids ages 10 and younger are free.
Each night after the rodeo ends, the casino will have live entertainment.
