Flandreau’s Teacher of the Year selection was recently announced as High School Math and Science teacher Scott Ross.  Ross graduated from the University of Phoenix and attained his teaching credentials from Adam State College in Alamosa, CO. He began his teaching career in Colorado in 2001. He moved to Flandreau to teach beginning in 2009. “I’ve really enjoyed teaching math and science in the high school. Flandreau is very fortunate to have so many expert teachers, and it is truly an honor to be named Flandreau District Teacher of the Year among this group of peers,” he said.

The First National Bank presents a plaque and a $500.00 VISA gift card each year to the chosen Teacher of the Year. Bank President Carla Harris shown presenting the award to Ross, said, “The bank has done this for several years.  It’s another way we give back to our community.”
