Phase II of the water and wastewater replacement project in Flandreau has begun.
This phase of the project will affect homeowners and businesses with property specifically along First Avenue between Veterans to Lindsay Street, West Street between First and Bridge Avenue, Third Avenue between Veterans and 13th Street, Pipestone Avenue between Veterans and 13th Street and 13th Street between Third and First Avenue. Water, sewer and storm sewers are being replaced.

The city held a community meeting on Tuesday, June 6, for those affected to ask any questions and help them understand the project. City Administrator Don Whitman said they had a good meeting, where the engineer and contractor described the project, explained the timeline and answered questions.
The entire water and wastewater replacement project in Flandreau is expected to be completed by November 22.
