Record 1-2 mark over week at the net

The Fliers won one and lost two at the volleyball net last week.
FLANDREAU – The Fliers swept the Deuel Cardinals on Monday, Sept. 26 on the home court wnning, 25-19, 25-9 and 25-17.
No other stats were made available.
ELKTON – The Elks defeated the Fliers in three sets on Tuesday night, winning by scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.
Addy Hammer led the Fliers with 16 digs in the loss while Sadie Iott also had 12 digs on the night. Claire Sheppard led Flandreau with nine kills and three blocks on the night while Lizzie Pavlis also had three blocks to go with five kills. Abby Schoeberl led the Fliers with 16 assists with eight digs, five kills and a block, Lily Klein had six digs, five kills and an ace and Olivia Peters had two aces on the night.
Tevan Erickson led the way for Elkton-Lake Benton, collecting a team-high 21 assists and 10 digs to go with two kills and three aces.
FLANDREAU – The Fliers dropped to 6-15 on the year after falling to the Cossacks in four sets. Sioux Valley took the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-21. Flandreau then won the third set, 25-23, to force a fourth set before falling, 25-10.
The Fliers were led by Lily Klein who had 11 kills, 19 digs and two aces. Claire Sheppard had 14 kills and Sadie Iott had 19 digs. Abby Schoberl had 26 assists and two aces.
Adison Renkly led Sioux Valley with 25 assists, 14 digs, 13 kills and three blocks. Landree Wilson had 12 kills. Talya Vincent had 21 assists and 16 digs. Ashley Bjerke had 12 digs, 11 kills and three blocks. Kaedyn Sapp had 18 digs.
Flandreau was to host Beresford on Tuesday for this week’s only play. Tuesday, October 11 they travel to Clark to face the Cyclones of Clark/Willow Lake.
