Moody County property owners have until April 28th to pay the First half of their 2016 due in 2017 real estate and mobile home taxes at the courthouse without a penalty.
The 2016 taxes can be paid at the County Treasurer’s office, located in the courthouse between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. now through Friday. Please bring or enclose tax receipt when making your payment. When making payments from multiple owners please bring or send them all together in one envelope. Payments can also be mailed to the treasurer’s office but must be postmarked no later than Saturday April 29th. Please mail your payments early.
Once unpaid taxes become delinquent, interest at the annual rate of 10% will be added to the original amount until full payment is made. Please remember to include a stamped self-addressed return envelope if you want to have your receipt mailed back to you. There is no grace period because April 30th falls on the weekend this year. Your payments must be mailed no later than April 29th to be timely.
