Flandreau Cross Country Breakfast will be Thursday

A Flandreau Flier XC breakfast will be held on Thursday morning, October 5 at the Community Center beginning at 7 a.m. The team will be participating in the Big  East Conference meet that day.

The community is encouraged to attend. Free-will donation.

Flier football breakfast Friday

There will be a community football breakfast for the Flier football team on Friday, October 6 at the Flandreau United Methodist Church. Serving begins at 7 a.m. All are welcome, donation is appreciated.

Flier Booster Club meetings

            Flandreau Flier Booster Club will hold their monthly Wednesday evening meeting on Oct. 4 at 6 pm at the Bean & Vine. They will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 6 pm at Bean and Vine.

            Members also meet weekly starting at 8 a.m. on Saturdays at John’s Place.

Death Cafe meets Wed. October 11

            Journey Home - Death Cafe will meet Wednesday, October 11, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm to discuss questions or topics you bring about dying or death. All people, above age 18, are invited to come to the Bean Vine and Spirits in an open, safe, and warm environment.

Trunk or Treat set October 14 in Flandreau

The Trunk-Or-Treat is Saturday, October 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. in downtown Flandreau. Cars are still needed to decorate their trunks and offer trick or treat candy for kids.

Parking begins at 5:30 and the street closes to traffic at 6 p.m.. This is an all-ages, family-friendly community event and everyone is encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the evening.

Flandreau city

landfill free

            The Flandreau City Landfill is open free of charge on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 7: pm and also on Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm.

            There will be no charge to Flandreau City residents for leaves and yard cleanup until weather closes it for the season. Commercial and all other users will be charged at the regular scheduled fee.
