Netters take 21-3 record to Regions


The Colman-Egan girls volleyball team closed the regular season with an impressive 21-3 record after taking back to back wins over Dell  Rapids St. Mary’s and Garretson last week.
On October 26, they stopped the Cardinals, 11-25, 28-26, 13-25, 20-25.
They then defeated the Blue Dragons on October 27 in five sets, 19-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-18, 13-15.
No other stats were made available from the coaching staff.
The team started Region 4B action Monday night with a bye. The Hawks are seeded number 2 as Chester Area earned the number 1 seed with an 18-2 record. One of the Hawks’ regular season losses was to Chester back on October 5. Their other two losses came at the Sanford Pentagon in a tournament against Class A schools, Parskton and Winner.
They play Tuesday night in Regions against Monday’s winner between Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and Mitchell Christian.
