The city of Flandreau will hold a community meeting on Tuesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at the William J. Janklow Community Center.

Residents and property owners with property specifically along First Avenue between Veterans to Lindsay Street, West Street between First and Bridge Avenue, Third Avenue between Veterans and 13th Street, Pipestone Avenue between Veterans and 13th Street and 13th Street between Third and First Avenue are encouraged to attend this meeting.

The main focus will be the next phase of the city’s water and wastewater replacement project.

At the last Flandreau city council meeting, City Administrator Don Whitman said because Phase II covers such a large area and will affect a number of residents and businesses in town, it makes the most sense to hold a meeting before the project is underway for those people to attend and ask any questions they have.

Mayor Mark Bonrud, city council members, city staff, project engineers and the project’s contractor will also be at the meeting to provide information and answer any questions residents might have about the next phase of this project.
