What was scheduled to be a debate between Moody County Sheriff Troy Wellman and his challenger in the November midterm elections, Flandreau City Officer Rob Neuenfeldt, has turned into a larger candidate forum.
On October 15th, voters have a chance to come hear from the candidates between 9:30-11:00 a.m. at JJ’s Coffee Spot in Flandreau. Each candidate present will have the opportunity to talk for anywhere from 5-10 minutes, according to Sheriff Wellman, who is organizing the event. Dan Sutton, Flandreau’s Mayor, will be moderating the event.
More on the candidates and the election in the coming weeks.
