Mary Ann Loiseau, age 96 of Egan, passed away August 30, 2018.

Mary Ann was born October 15, 1921, to Joseph and Anna (Kottman) Schwebach.   As a child, she attended country school near her rural Dell Rapids home.  On May 7, 1941 she married Alfred Loiseau and to this union they were blessed with five children.  They farmed in the Pipestone, Flandreau and Egan areas. For over 20 years, she drove school bus and then cooked for the Egan School. In 2000, she moved into her very first new home in Egan SD.  In April of 2017, her health required her to enter Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Flandreau.

Mary Ann is survived by one son John (LeAnn) Loiseau of Watertown and their children, Christopher (Jenny) Loiseau, Chad (Keri) Loiseau, Melissa (Matt) Holtquist, Eric Whitely (Ashley)  and Amy Cody;  two daughters,  Rita (Duane) Greenhoff  of Flandreau and their children, Laurie (Brian) Christenson, Lauren (Christine) Greenhoff, Scott Greenhoff and Stacey (Neil) Radulski;  Jane (Steve) Witte of Egan, SD and their children, Michelle (Tom) TenEyck, Michael (Tanya) Witte, Daniel (Megan) Witte and Kari (Matt) Hargens;  daughter-in-law Sharon Loiseau of Watertown and their children, Kim (Keith VanWell), Tracy (Leon) Heyn and Todd (Joy) Loiseau;  39 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also, two sisters, Helen Hattervig of Dell Rapids, SD and Claire Huberts of Amityville, NY.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Loiseau (1996), sons, William (Bill) Loiseau (1997) and Ralph Loiseau (July 2018) as well as her parents, Joe and Anna Schwebach; great-great-granddaughter Brooklyn Grace Rochel and siblings, Joseph (Son) Schwebach, Urban Schwebach, Cordula Williamson, Isabelle Schmidt, and Joan Brown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Flandreau, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a 7:00 p.m. rosary. www.skrochfc.com
