Lois E. Pasch, 84, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.
Lois Edith was born on November 7, 1934 to Harry and Ada (Conkey) Lausen in St. Lawrence, SD living on the farm with her parents. As an only child, she was very close to all of her cousins. She attended school in the area country school. After school she moved to Sioux Falls to work for Bell Telephone Company. During this time, she met James Pasch. On April 1, 1961 while Jim was on leave from the Army, they married in Flandreau, SD. For the rest of his enlistment they lived at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington until the time of his honorable discharge.
After leaving the military life, Jim and Lois moved to Flandreau where they would reside until Jim’s passing in 2010. Lois worked many years at Foodland Grocery and Flandreau Community Oil while raising a family. She later worked at Royal River Casino and Dakota Stop. She finally decided to retire in 2011 at age 75. In 2015 Lois moved to Sioux Falls so she could be closer to her daughter Mary. She enjoyed her last three years at Sunnycrest Village and cherished the new friendships she made there. Lois could either be found with a group putting puzzles together, bowling on the Wii league or relaxing in her apartment with her favorite cat Sophie. The happiest times were spent with her family.
Survivors include three children: Janice Jones of Phoenix, AZ, Dennis (Sandi) Pasch  and Mary Pasch, all of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren: Courtney Jones of Brookings, Preston Jones and Tyler Jones, both of Flandreau; great granddaughter: Ryah Manker of Brookings; her sister-in-law Darlys (Lavern) Thompson, brother-in-law Ray (Ellen) Pasch along with many Conkey first cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her mother and father-in-law Ervin and Lorraine Pasch.
Funeral service was held February 8, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Home.
