Lee J. Doyle, 56, of Flandreau, SD, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Lee Joseph Doyle was born September 6, 1960 in Sun Valley, CA to Harold and Maxine (Brown) Doyle. Lee graduated from James Monroe High School in North Hills, CA in 1978 and North Valley Occupational College shortly thereafter after completing studies in heating and air conditioning technology. Lee and Amy married on October 20, 2007 in Stanton, CA and resided in Mission Hills, CA until their relocation to Flandreau in the spring of 2014. Lee worked in the greater Los Angeles area in HVAC for over thirty years, and subsequently obtained employment with SDSU in Brookings. Lee was an avid baseball fan, particularly of the San Francisco Giants, the Anaheim Angels, and the Minnesota Twins. He loved collecting baseball cards, shooting trap, reloading ammo, bowling, anything train related, and traveling the globe. Lee and Amy enjoyed their adventures in Alaska, Chile, Germany, Ireland, and the Czech Republic. Lee loved good food and a good time. He was a very witty fellow and could usually be found amid any laughter happening in a gathering of relatives or friends.

Lee is survived by his wife, Amy, Flandreau; his two sons, Cole, Los Angeles, CA and Lucas (Joy), Los Osos, CA; two granddaughters, Naomi and Leona; step-children, Kimberly (Sadrac) Schoppman, Yucaipa, CA; two stepsons, Graham Parkinson, Seoul, South Korea and Quinn Parkinson, San Francisco, CA; four step-grandchildren, Taylor, Warner, Franky and Rocky; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the local area, as well California and Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His funeral service was held April 3, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery.
