Judy A. Wolles, 78, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Judy was born in Chester, SD on July 5, 1942 to Palmer and Madeline (Amundson) Kringen. She grew up in Colman, SD, graduating from Colman High School in 1960. On September 21st that same year, Judy married John Wolles in Elkton, SD. The Wolleses called many communities home throughout the years including several places in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Colorado, before landing in Arizona in 1996. They moved to Sioux Falls in 2005, continuing to spend half the year in Arizona for several more years. Judy was a stay-at-home mother while her children were  in school. She then worked as a food service manager for Colman Public School and at a retirement center in Scottsdale, AZ. Judy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed sewing, watching movies, playing cards, and spending time at the lake. Judy was exceptionally family-oriented and delighted in spending time with and supporting those closest to her.
Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Wolles, Sioux Falls, SD; four children: Debbie (Steve) Weets, Sioux Falls, SD; Todd (Lesley) Wolles, Hartford, SD; Sheri Brandsrud, Sioux Falls, SD; and Chad (Grace) Wolles, Sioux Falls, SD; ten grandchildren: John, Zach, Christopher, Jacob, Casey, Seth, Mandy, Jessica, Nick, and Zack; six great-grandchildren: Mason, Jamison, Jaxson, Avery, Hudson, and Theo; and one sister, Donna Christensen, Flandreau, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale and Eugene.
Funeral Mass was held February 27, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sioux Falls, SD. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
