John "Jack" Frederick Eich

Jack was born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota to the late Mike and Veronica Hockhausen Eich and was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Mullis Eich. He served in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Jack worked briefly for the Macon Police Department but spent most of his working career in the automobile industry, and the majority of that was with the Paul Walsh family. He was also a personal caretaker for Peyton Anderson. Jack was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Survivors include his daughters, Mitzi (Delmar) Conn of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Jacque (Jim) Duke of Round Hill, Virginia and Katherinea (Ernest) Walton of Watkinsville; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Arnold Eich of Flandreau, SD and Ronnie Eich of Lake Madison, SD; and sisters, Betty Brown of Dell Rapids, SD and Patty Duncan of Flandreau, SD.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary will be said Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:00pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with a visitation to follow. Father Scott Winchel will officiate. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Senior Services of Winston-Salem, 2895 Shorefair Dr. NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
